Lots of Buttons

I have always wondered what I was going to do with all of these buttons that I just had to have. Well, this card was the remedy for someone with too many buttons and having no clue what to do with all of them. This card was the combination of two challenges on SCS...Limited Supply (Patterned Paper) & Way to Use It (Buttons). Everything is patterned paper except for the card base, which is, of course, kraft cardstock. 6/4/09: Unity SCS Challenge Winner

Supplies
Stamps: May KOM & Giggle Grove (Unity Stamp Co.)
Ink: Black
Paper: Marrakech (Basic Grey), Kraft
Accessories: Lots O'Buttons, Word Window Punch, Nestabilities, Linen Thread

Another Atypical Color Combo

As I had mentioned in a forum recently oranges and yellows are NOT my thing, so I thought the SCS color challenge for this week was a perfect opportunity to practice getting better with them. (Colors = Bashful Blue, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie)

I know. I went a little nuts with the Cuttlebug and...well...everything. I'm ok with it!

Enjoy a beautiful day where ever you are! We have been having hit and miss showers, but mostly sunny and warm.

The second card is the CAS 16 (Clean and Simple) Challenge at SCS as well. The challenge is to redue an old card. I choose this one.

Stamps: May KOM (Unity Stamp Company)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo
Paper: Gina K. Pure Luxury White Base, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Orange Rhinestones, Nestabilities, Spellbinders Tag Die, Cuttlebug Embossing Folders, White Gel Pen, Glossy Accents, Copics, Scallop Border Punch

Supplies

Clean and Simple Challenge

The SCS clean and simple challenge was to create at black and white card and add only one additional bold/bright color. I choose Pixie Pink and used it to highlight the flowers and heart on the birdcage, then used Glossy Accents over the colored areas. Fun challenge. I had to get the creative juices flowing for graduation and Father's Day cards...craft fair next weekend. I need to get on it!

Supplies
Stamps: Birdie Inspiration; Birdcage (All Unity)
Ink: Memento Black; Pixie Pink
Paper: Gina K. White
Accessories: Black Ribbon, Raspberry Fizz Ribbon

Celebrate!

My cousin Kimberly graduated yesterday from nursing school. We weren't able to attend due to my fab sinus infection. Bad. As I sat down to create a graduation card, I decided that I was sick of caps, gowns and tassels. Boring. So, I pulled out these fun kites from my Unity April KOTM and filled it with soothing colors and free-living feelings.

Ink: Memento Black

Fabulous Weather

I just wanted to post this sweet photo of Liam enjoying the warm weather on his backyard swing. He could have kept swinging all evening. It has been a bit chilly this weekend, but no rain! (The pic is from Tuesday...it was perfect shorts weather!)
