Love, Laughter and Sunsets - Ippity Monday

As with most of my creations, I had no idea where this was going until it was completely finished. Some crafters/artists have a process...not I. I try to and all I get is frustrated. The crazy thing is that I thrive on order and processes. Just not with this. lol! All I had in my hand was a piece of seam binding that I had colored the day before and here is what I ended up creating with it. (I am working on updating my ippity sale blog, so if is something you would like and don't see it here, please let a comment and I will get back with you asap.)

I also added some tags I have been working on for my Etsy shop as well as some fabulous photos of an Ohio sunset. Mitch had me take a few shots on our way home from Columbus last night. Love it!

This is my last week of maternity leave and I will be returning to work next Monday. I hope to be back blogging and creating soon!

Have a wonderful day!

FWF Decadent Pear

I have been looking for this set EVERYWHERE! The only store I could find Decadent Pear from Unity by the fabulous Samantha Walker was at Limelight Papercrafts. I pretty much stalked the website and snatched it up as soon as it was available.(BTW, lightening fast shipping from Limelight. My first order from them, but definitely not my last.) I have not seen many projects made with this set, but let me tell you I WILL be experimenting with this one a lot. Love the images sooooo much!!! If you see any great creations using this set it would be wonderful if you could link it in the comments section of this post. Thanks and have a grand Friday!

Caden's Birthday...Error

You know those days when you are in a hurry and the best laid plans seems to fall apart at the seams? Sunday was one of those days. I wanted to make my nephew, Caden, a cool robot birthday card using my Cricut Robotz cartridge. After taking a shower, feeding Fiona, and getting everyone ready to go to get to Mass on time, then heading straight down for the birthday party there was little time to create anything. I opted for some great robot paper, cutting his name out with the Cricut and piecing it all together in the car. I grabbed the layers, threw the letters in the Xyron sticker maker and hopped in the car. As I began to peel the letters off of the sticker paper I realized that...most letters have to go a certain direction. Oops! I improvised and decided to turn them all weird directions and write "error' in sharpie at the bottom, then "Happy Belated Birthday" on the inside. What a mess!

My brother-in-law, Jeff, scanned this and cut off the blue base, but was insistent that I share this faux pas with everyone in the blogosphere. So here it is...

The Little Things {ippity} Monday

What are the little things that mean the most to me? A hug from my son, a smile from my daughter, snuggling on the couch with my husband, looking out the window or standing outside in awe of the beauty around me, the phone call from a friend, a family gathering, the creations that are not my own, but little divine ideas I am blessed to have from time to time...little but powerful things that make life wonderful. These simple threads weave together my life. I wouldn't give them up for the world.

Stamps: Ippity
Ink: Rich Cocoa, Desert Sand
Paper: June Bug (Basic Grey), Kraft

Unity Flair and A Happy Life

So much has been going on since my last post. Labor Day Festival Craft Show, Mitch's continuing recovery, trip to Longaberger Homestead near Newark (a couple of hours from home - went with my sweet friend Kerry, her dear friend Kerstin from London and the kids), Fiona's Baptism followed by a wonderfully full house of family and food...I could go on, but all you are here for are the stamped stuff, am I right? lol!

This card is for my Grandmother's 9- birthday. (She doesn't like people knowing her age.) The tags, which will be up in my Etsy shop soon, are inspired by an upcoming Halloween cupcake decorating party I am having for the kids in my life.

Have a wonderful weekend! I pray that you are as fortunate as I to have amazing friends and family in my life.

FWF Finishing a Week of Craft Fair Creations

There are some new ones here as well as a review from the week! I had a blast and have NO idea where the energy came from, but I do know the house is paying for it right now. I knew Unity would be a wonderful fit for putting together a great show. Hoping to have photos of the booth space up sometime next week. Depends on how fried I am by the time it is over. 3-day Labor Fair!

This was definitely a week of Unity and Ippity for my creations. I'm sure I will be posting more of what I have made after the madness has ended. (Packaged cards, notepads, etc.)lol! Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Altered Clothespins for a "Card" Line

Now I hang my clothes and cards on a line. lol. The "Card" Line kit comes with five painted and stamped wooden clothespins and four feet of hemp cord in a stamped muslin bag. Great for displaying holiday and birthday cards, notes or important things to remember. Coming to my Etsy Shop after Labor Day weekend. ;)

Flowers for Wednesday

These are hands down the prettiest flower pens I have made EVER! I didn't scrimp on either the flowers or the pens. I always use RSVP pens (even at work) because they get the job done. I couldn't imagine giving or selling someone a gorgeous pen like that only for it to run out of ink or stop working all too soon. I couldn't resist these fabulous fall colors! I decided to stop with the floral tape when I got to the grip part. Floral tape tends to be sticky and I can't stand getting sticky fingers from a pen. ;) These will be up in my Etsy Shop after Labor Day weekend.

Couldn't help but pop in a cute picture of Fiona today, too! More to come tomorrow!
