Introducing a New Addition...

To my studio...thought it was the baby already, didn't you? lol! 3 more months. Ugh! Mitch surprised me for my birthday by ordering me a snazzy limited edition Cricut Expression! I was not expecting it at all, and (as he would tell you) I'm pretty darn good at guessing. Too good, actually. It's annoying!

I have only been experimenting with various combinations of variables. So much fun! A great way to avoid homework, housework, etc. Realistically, I have only used it on and off for a couple of hours so far. Hoping to play more as soon as spring break arrives next week!

"Use Your Stash" Challenge Free {ippity}!!!!/FWF Friday

Post your creation here with your "stash" item and get a chance to win some FREE {IPPITY} stamps!!!!!
Winner announced on Monday {ippity} post!

Who among you can say with all honesty that you don't have a stash of some papercrafting supplies? Come on...admit it! I am among those individuals who, frankly, has more than she needs. (This does not keep me from collecting more...) Maybe I am the only one...yeah, didn't think so. I would love you to join me on an adventure through unopened packages of embellishments, stamps that have never seen ink, pricey designer papers hidden on shelves and all the other things we swore we would use "some day". During this trip, we may discover creativity in places we would have never expected. Inspiration among the clutter.

My challenge to you...grab something...anything that you have horded or just "had to have" and have yet to use. Use that item(s) as your inspiration for a creation to post in the comments section here for all to see!

I would think, for most of us, this would be something fairly simple to do every week. A challenge that may help to dwindle the extras if only get more treasures to add to the pile. ;)

My item for today is...
Stickles
I probably have 20+ bottles and only use about 2-3 of them on a regular basis.

Supplies
Stamps: March In-store KOM (Unity)
Ink: Tuxedo Black
Paper: Kraft, Amuse Kitchen
Accessories: Stickles, Glossy Accents, Nestabilities, Gemstones, Butterfly Embosslits (SU), Copics

Our new baby chicks!
Our nephew is starting a 4-H project raising chickens. My brother-in-law ordered 15 chicks (the farm sent 16!) for the project, which was many more than they needed. So, Mitch decided that fresh eggs wouldn't be such a bad idea and took a few chicks off of his hands. Liam is very excited to have the "baby chicks" at our house. Mitch is equally thrilled by the acquisition, because he and his family raised chickens when he was growing up and now he can share this experience with our son. :)

They will be in the basement staying nice and warm under their heat lamp until they are ready to be moved to the chicken coop outside.

Flair Warning...Creative Disaster

At this point, you won't be missing much if you blow on by since I don't have the badge, because I have had an official "creative disaster". What once seemed like a good idea gradually deteriorated into what is presented on this blog as my "flair".

You know the road...one bad turn leads to another and another. I hope I'm not the only one who has been there. You think you can fix it. Change something. Looks worse. Change something else. Going downhill more rapidly. Then, you start throwing everything you have at it.Bling, shimmer, embossing, etc., etc. (My salute to the King and I.) I apologize for the pity party and know that we can't love everything we create. I went ahead and posted it for my own therapy now I'm going complete my session by curling up with the container ice cream and a spoon. (Lethal combination for a preggo. lol.)

Please do check out all of the fabulous creations
made with Unity by starting here.

Simple Ippity Butterfly

Good morning/afternoon/evening...whenever you happen to stop in today/tomorrow/down the road. I never know when I will actually be hopping or how long I will have time to do it before work/family/stuff detracts me from the serious business of checking out some fabulous blogs!

I love what Mitch said when I brought the card upstairs to show him this evening, "That's not what it looked like at 9:00." I had to have a chuckle at that. At 9:00, it was a far cry from being finished. It looked more like a jumble of individual pieces setting out on the table with little linking it together than a general color scheme. An hour later...finished. I have a very limited number of Copic markers, so the butterfly colors are not really what I had in my head. Life goes on. ;)

Life is simple, it's just not easy.
