H{ippity} Hop Cricut Crazy

I have had my Cricut Expression for almost a year (unexpected birthday gift from sweet Mitch.) and haven't used it a whole lot. Was I crazy? It is the coolest machine.  Thanks to some fabulous You Tube videos and getting my final project draft done ahead of time (all 23 pages!) I decided I was going to enjoy myself a little on Sunday.

Here is what I created using my Wild Card cartridge and Ippity's Regal Greetings set. I am not currently selling {ippity} due to the weight of grad school, full time job and a busy household. Hopefully, I will have the time to commit to it after I graduate next June/July. I know the other {ippity} gals would LOVE to get some of this great rubber in your hands!!

I made the wedding cake card with a blackout on patterned paper and one on white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on vanilla and used the center point setting on a frame for the oval.

Supplies
Stamps: Regal Greetings (ippity by Unity)
Ink: Rich Cocoa
Paper: DCWV, White, Vanilla
Accessories: Pearls, Flower Gem, Cricut Wild Card

Love, Laughter and Sunsets - Ippity Monday

As with most of my creations, I had no idea where this was going until it was completely finished. Some crafters/artists have a process...not I. I try to and all I get is frustrated. The crazy thing is that I thrive on order and processes. Just not with this. lol! All I had in my hand was a piece of seam binding that I had colored the day before and here is what I ended up creating with it. (I am working on updating my ippity sale blog, so if is something you would like and don't see it here, please let a comment and I will get back with you asap.)

I also added some tags I have been working on for my Etsy shop as well as some fabulous photos of an Ohio sunset. Mitch had me take a few shots on our way home from Columbus last night. Love it!

This is my last week of maternity leave and I will be returning to work next Monday. I hope to be back blogging and creating soon!

Have a wonderful day!

The Little Things {ippity} Monday

What are the little things that mean the most to me? A hug from my son, a smile from my daughter, snuggling on the couch with my husband, looking out the window or standing outside in awe of the beauty around me, the phone call from a friend, a family gathering, the creations that are not my own, but little divine ideas I am blessed to have from time to time...little but powerful things that make life wonderful. These simple threads weave together my life. I wouldn't give them up for the world.

Stamps: Ippity
Ink: Rich Cocoa, Desert Sand

H{ippity} Hop - Craft Fair Creations 1

I have always considered myself a cardmaker. I have mentioned in the past what a terrible scrapbooker I am. Perhaps it is the larger format or the overwhelming number of photos to choose from...I don't really know. I have also avoided the amazing altered items and papercrafted pretties that I have drooled over on SCS and blogs.

Well, I'm here to tell you...I am hooked on non-card creations presently. It all started with a package of jumbo paper clips from Staples that I purchased well over a year ago, which has been collecting dust until about...Thursday! My plan for my craft fair is to create with what I have in my ever growing stash. As I unearth more I will post additional creations using these items. Since today is all about {ippity} I have posted these fun paperclip bookmarks using some of my favorite {ippity} stamps.(To avoid purchasing chipboard for the butterflies, I used the old standby of cereal box cardboard...how green of me.)

Stay tuned for more...who knows, I may actually have a post every day this week! (A few hints...vintage tags, altered pens, Beate's nifty corner bookmarks, something in a frame, notepads, clothespins...)

Stop by this week and leave a comment on my "craft fair creations" to win some of this week's beauties!

I will also be putting some of the creations on the bare shelves of my Etsy Shop this week.

Monday, Monday! Ippity Monday!

A card for Mitch...love him! These images are so adorable! A mix and match of a variety of colors and elements this week. The jar was watercolored in blue and artichoke, then all of the hearts were colored with Smooch acrylic paint. The background for the connected buttons is lace backed with twill tape. Love how perfect the Smooch tip is for painting details. Finally had a creative moment! Such fun! Take care this week!

Happy Monday {ippity} Hop

I don't know about you, but I had a fabulous weekend. Spent time with friends on Saturday morning, then Liam and I had the rest of the day to ourselves while Mitch was out with our nephew Nicholas on his Confirmation retreat. Sunday was filled with homemade lemonade, grilled "juicy lucy" burgers, playing and working around the house and soccer in the evening .The weather was gorgeous both days. (Minus allergies it would have been the perfect weekend.) Always a rough transition back to work. My goal for the week is to soak up as much good weather as we are given! Enjoy your week!

If you love any of these {ippity} stamps or papers, send me and email with your order. I will be placing an order this week for anyone interested. Free shipping as always!

Caden's 1st Communion/An Ippity Birthday/New Cricut Cartridge

A couple of cards to share for today. The first is not {ippity} nor Unity, but a stamp from a stash I haven't used in awhile. I need to ink up more stamps that have been neglected since my love affair with Unity. (Love Unity, but I do have some other stamps that need my lovin' from time to time. lol!) This card has actual wood veneer that I purchased at Archiver's a few weeks ago. I adore it! My nephew Caden received this for his 1st Communion today. We're so proud of him!!!

My wonderful sister-in-law Loretta who is mom to Caden received this one today for her birthday. I am soooo happy to finally have a sister. (Love my brothers, but having a sister has a different appeal.) I don't know what I would do without her advice and friendship. Truly someone who I treasure.

{ippity} "Chicks" for Real!!

Top of the morning to you! Most likely by the time you read this I will have been out the door and probably at work for sometime. I hope that you have had some time in your day to enjoy the wonderful creations by those who enjoy {ippity} stamps. Today, I used two sets (listed below) for my card. I wanted to keep it simple and hope that I achieved that through my design.

I would like to extend another heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful folks who stopped by my blog on Friday to leave encouraging comments. It truly lifted my spirits!

Our new baby chicks!
Our nephew is starting a 4-H project raising chickens. My brother-in-law ordered 15 chicks (the farm sent 16!) for the project, which was many more than they needed. So, Mitch decided that fresh eggs wouldn't be such a bad idea and took a few chicks off of his hands. Liam is very excited to have the "baby chicks" at our house. Mitch is equally thrilled by the acquisition, because he and his family raised chickens when he was growing up and now he can share this experience with our son. :)

They will be in the basement staying nice and warm under their heat lamp until they are ready to be moved to the chicken coop outside.

{ippity} Winter Release 2010/Valentine's Day Card

I'm excited to share the new {ippity} Stamp release with you! After some technical difficulties you can click below for ordering and pricing. I have two great sales going on for the new and previous releases as well as FREE SHIPPING! Thanks for visiting!

Secondly, this is the Valentine's Day that I made for Mitch. All in all it was simple, but I really like the finished product. I used embossed a 1/2 sheet of acetate, scored it and folded it around a white card base. On top of the white card base is a piece of shimmery red cardstock to help the embossing really pop. The acetate is attached with pop dots. On the inside I used a piece of silver cardstock large enough to cover the inside panel and allow for the decorative border to show along the side.

This was tough to photograph. I think the glare from the acetate made it a challenge possibly causing it to be a tad blurry.

Supplies
Stamps: None!
Ink: None!
Paper: Shimmery Red, Gina K. White Base, Acetate Sheet, Silver Cardstock
Accessories: Red Stickes, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Pop Dots, SU Border Punch
